Caramel and apples… a match made in heaven for sure!
This Caramel Apple Cream Cheese Dip is simply the perfect snack, appetizer or dessert!
This easy and delicious dip takes the flavors of a caramel apple, adds the creamy richness of cheesecake, and the sweet crunch of toffee, and you have about the most delicious treat you can make in 5 minutes!
I first tasted this incredible combo at a friend’s house (hi Heather!) several years ago. She shared the amazingly simple recipe and I have been impressing family and friends with it ever since!
Ingredients Needed
This simple and delicious dip requires very few ingredients to make. You can, as always, find the full printable recipe at the end of this post. Let’s take a look at what you’ll need:
- cream cheese – you want to use block cream cheese, not the cream cheese in a tub. Let it sit at room temperature before using.
- powdered sugar – to sweeten the dip.
- milk – thins out the dip just enough.
- vanilla extract – make your own using my homemade vanilla extract recipe or use the best quality you have available to you.
- candy bars – I like to use Heath or Skor candy bars but Snickers is delicious too if you want less crunch.
- caramel sauce – you can use homemade or store bought.
- tart apples – I like Granny Smith apples for this recipe but any apples will work.
How To Make This Easy Dip
- Beat cream cheese until smooth and creamy.
- Beat in powdered sugar.
- Add milk and vanilla extract and beat until fully incorporated and smooth.
- Spread cream cheese mixture into a shallow bowl.
- Add a layer of caramel sauce.
- Top with crushed toffee bars or candy bars of your choosing.
- Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
- When ready to serve, slice apples and arrange around dip.
- Serve immediately.
To help slow the browning of the apple slices, immediately after cutting, add slices to a bowl of cool water with 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. Remove slices from lemon water (allow excess water to drain off) and serve.
As soon as I took these photos, I shared this plate with my girls as an afternoon treat. It was devoured in no time! I have yet to come across anyone who does not LOVE this dip!
Happy snacking!

Great recipe – made this this afternoon for a crafting party I attended and everyone loved it! The hostess’s husband actaully licked the plate when she was giving it back to me to take home. Thanks for sharing! Nutty guy – but I think he just did what the rest of us women wanted to do!

Oh, delicious! I’ll have to try that out on the kids. Fingers crossed they hate it and I’m forced to eat it all myself!

It’s a pity I don’t have cream cheese at home right now. It really is one of those recipes you read about and immediately want to try yourself.
