How to Make Chocolate Bark

Prepare Work
- Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with a silicone liner or parchment paper and set it aside for later.
- Chop – or break apart – any larger candies, cookies, or pretzels.
Melt Chocolate
- Melt the vanilla candy bark – or white chocolate – as directed on the package. If you’re heating it in the microwave, use 50% power to prevent any overheating.
- Pour about half of the melted chocolate onto the lined baking sheet and then spread it so it’s about ¼ inch thick.
Add Candy
- Working quickly so the chocolate doesn’t harden, add an assortment of pretzels, cookie chunks, and candy corn in a single layer.
- Pour the remaining melted chocolate on top of your prepared chunks and then add any additional toppings, including sprinkles.
- Set the pan aside and allow the chocolate to cool fully.
Break Bark
- Once the chocolate is fully cool and set, break the bark apart into pieces.
- Enjoy immediately or store at room temperature in an airtight container.

Trish’s Tips
- Short on time? You can speed up the process by placing the sheet in the freezer for 10 minutes.
- Thaw from frozen slowly! If you freeze your bark, make sure you thaw it in stages. If you take the bark straight from the freezer to room temperature it’ll create too much condensation and the chocolate will get melty.
- Be careful melting your chocolate. The microwave is the easiest way to melt it, but make sure you do it slowly so it doesn’t burn. Just a few seconds make the difference between perfectly melted and burnt chocolate.
